When Tiger Woods Was Truly Tiger!
Never has anyone dominated professional golf like Tiger.

As we ascend upon the first Masters tournament with both LIV and PGA golfers in field, I thought to myself there really isn’t any dominant golfer out there now. Sure there are great golfers and there is plenty of talent and both tours that can be exciting to watch. But even with all the talent and personalities out there, no one has risen above the fold to be dominant. It got me thinking back to when Tiger dominated the sport, when Tiger was Tiger.
Tigers' dominance in golf is considered one of the greatest achievements in sports history. From 1997 to 2008, he won 14 major championships, including four Masters, three U.S. Opens, three Open Championships, and four PGA Championships. During this period, he also won 13 PGA Tour Player of the Year awards and was the world number one ranked golfer for a record-breaking 683 weeks. A record that many believe will never be matched.
Tigers' dominance in golf can be attributed to a number of factors, including his exceptional talent, intense work ethic, mental toughness, and innovative approach to the game. He revolutionized the sport with his athleticism, power, and accuracy, and his relentless pursuit of perfection inspired a generation of golfers to improve their games.
Tigers' success also had a profound impact on the popularity of golf, as he helped bring the sport to a new generation of fans and made it more accessible and exciting to watch. His captivating performances on the course and his compelling personal story made him one of the most influential athletes of his time.
Whether you like him or not, despite facing personal and physical challenges in recent years, Tigers' legacy as one of the greatest golfers of all time remains secure, and his impact on the sport will be felt for generations to come.
I’m the first to admit that when Tiger is in the field, I’m watching and I’m rooting for him to win!

If you tried to book a Saturday morning tee time recently and found yourself staring at a screen that looked more like a sold-out Taylor Swift concert than a municipal golf course, you aren’t alone.
