Here's Today's Golf Tip... Consistency.

If you're anything like me you are always on the lookout for tips and tricks that can help you shoot lower scores.

One place I always turn to is the tour. By studying what the world’s best players are doing to shoot their lowest scores I can usually find a few ways to improve my own game.

It’s not uncommon for PGA TOUR players to shoot 3 or 4 under par. But what about those rounds of 61 or 62 that happen once every blue moon? What are THOSE guys actually doing to get so low? After studying the data I was able to uncover 3 surprising secrets…
  • The eagle has NOT landed. Believe it or most 62’s on the PGA TOUR do not include a lot of eagles. It’s much more common for players to make 9 birdies and 9 pars.
  • Straighter not longer. While most PGA TOUR players hit it long, they aren’t hitting it longer on the days when they shoot ultra-low scores. Accuracy plays much more of a role. Tour players shooting low rounds tend to hit more fairways and greens.
  • Just tap it in. Tour players shooting ultra-low scores aren’t doing so because they are rolling in 40 foot putts all over the course. Sinking just one extra putt from short range (3-5 feet), and one extra putt from mid-range (5-15 feet)… icing on the cake is when they sink a long range putt (15-25 feet).

So what do these surprising secrets mean for your game?
It’s all about consistency. Today’s tour players aren’t shooting low scores because they are hitting tons of highlight real shots. They’re just executing their regular shots extremely well and working their way around the course with very few mistakes. By focusing on doing the same in your game you might be surprised at how low you can go!

If you tried to book a Saturday morning tee time recently and found yourself staring at a screen that looked more like a sold-out Taylor Swift concert than a municipal golf course, you aren’t alone. According to a year-end message from the National Golf Foundation (NGF), more people are playing golf in more ways than at any time in recorded history. For the crusty veteran who misses the days of the four-hour round and empty fairways, this might sound like a nightmare. But for anyone who loves the vitality, future, and "cool factor" of our sport, we are officially living in the Golden Age of Golf. Here is what the numbers actually mean for your game, your wallet, and that lukewarm hot dog at the turn.

The calendar page is about to flip, and with it, the conversation that's been bubbling beneath the surface of the golf world is set to boil over: Tiger Woods turns 50 on December 30th. That golden birthday means a gold-plated invite to the PGA Tour Champions. As President of Imagen Golf, I've spent years analyzing swings, but with Tiger, we're not just looking at a swing—we're analyzing the DNA of a champion's competitive spirit, and that is where the real story lies.

Hello, I'm Daniel Guest from Imagen Golf, and today we're tackling a topic that chills many golfers: playing in the cold. It’s not just you; the cold weather fundamentally changes how your equipment—specifically the golf ball—performs, and that directly impacts your shot.1 Understanding these effects is the first step toward better cold-weather scoring.
